Well done so far. Next you need to work on the design of your animation. You need to make a note of what the aim is of your animation. For Merit or Distinction you also need to say something about the audience for your animation. Then you need to design your animation using a storyboard.
It is best to sketch your storyboard by hand and either word process the other information - or fill it in by hand. This should save time compared to drawing each section using the computer and copying/pasting the drawing into the sketch boxes. At the bottom of this page you will find a storyboard template to use (if you wish).
To achieve a Pass you must describe the aim of the animation. You must also create a simple storyboard covering the main elements is provided. Your design may lack structure.
To achieve a Merit you must describe the aim and audience of the animation. You must also create a storyboard covering the main elements is provided. Your design must have a clear structure.
To achieve a Distinction you must be thorough in your description of aim and audience for the animation. You must also provide a storyboard covering all elements. The design must be well structured.
Your animation could be on the theme of "recycling" and could be one of the following examples:
A Flash animation showing what should be recycled in each type of box or bin
A Flash animation on the theme of "global warming"
A Flash animation on the theme of "don't drop litter"
A Flash animation with the title "Plastic carrier bags should be banned"
A Flash animation to encourage children to walk to school instead of coming by car
A Flash animation on the theme of saving endangered animals
Before you begin to design your animation you need to know that:
To gain a Pass your animation must be at least 15 seconds long.
For a Merit or Distinction it must be at least 30 seconds long.
