In 2004 the pair were asked to sing at their cousin's wedding during the church ceremony. The girls set about writing "Love is patient, love is kind" for the special occasion. In May the song was recorded. Several copies were ordered, and one of these was given to a music teacher at the college both girls attended. The teacher was so impressed that she played it for several colleagues.
In late May 2004 Colin Orr, a teacher of A level Music Technology at the College (and long-time leading member of rock band "Janus") was on the lookout for a talented female singer.
