Connecting to the Internet

At Hyde Tech we have an always on Internet connection from the school's own Web Proxy Server located in the Network Office.  This means that any workstation on the network that has the necessary software installed can connect to the Internet just by running the browser software (Internet Explorer).

At home it is likely that a user will need to check that the phone line is not in use by someone else - and then they will need to use the modem to dial up their ISP to provide the Internet connection.

Once connected the full range of Internet services are available.
