Large websites
Like a printed encyclopaedia, very large websites
can sometimes contain many thousands of pages of information.
Looking for something specific on one of these websites can be as much of
a problem as finding a topic in an encyclopaedia.
The site owners will, however, provide the necessary tools to find the
information required by the user – such as a search facility or an index.
Sometimes this may take the form of a site map – with guidance on what
information can be found on each page. |
