At Hyde Tech the network is a client/server network – arranged as a star – with every workstation connected directly to the server.  In practice a network of this size needs more than one server computer – we have 9 at the moment – but together they behave like a single computer at the heart of the network.  Each server has a specialist job to do – as will be explained in the pages below.
