One of the most exciting uses of the Internet is for sending and receiving video between two places.  In a simple way this can be done across a school network with a small webcam connected to a workstation in one room – and another webcam in a different room.  Using software such as Microsoft NetMeeting face-to-face contact can be achieved – you will see this demonstrated in one of the lessons.  A much more sophisticated version of this will be installed in the near future at Hyde to connect to Longdendale, Stamford, Littlemoss, Alders and Dale Grove schools – all at the same time!
