This Unit includes a series of tasks which you should complete in the order shown below.

First you will review three web sites - two that have been chosen for you and one more of your own.  You must look critically at the websites - and complete the review forms for each one.  Two already have some of the images, buttons and other features included in the review form. When you review your own choice of web site you will need to use the special review form to copy and paste the images, buttons etc into it so that your review will look similar to the other two.

Next you will review a commercial presentation given away free with a newspaper.  The review form for this presentation will also be provided to guide you.

Third you will create your own interactive multimedia presentation on a subject of your own choice for a given target audience.  The presentation must contain text, images, sound and video/animation, and must be at least 6 slides in length.  It must first be planned in detail on paper - and your plan must include details of how the slides will be linked in the form of a tree diagram.  Then your presentation will be created.  You will show the presentation to your target audience and you will need to note any feedback from the audience.  Finally you will make improvements to the presentation based on the feedback you have noted.

This unit is worth a maximum of 100 points towards your overall point score for GNVQ ICT.  It counts the same as every other unit you will do during Years 10 and 11.

The score you receive will depend on how well your work meets the unit requirements and the Pass, Merit and Distinction criteria.

For a Pass you must achieve a score of at least 7/16.

For a Merit you must achieve a score of at least 10/16

For a Distinction you must achieve a score of at least 13/16

Your teacher will guide you on how well your work meets the Pass, Merit and Distinction criteria.  You will be given advice on how it can be improved.
