Tasks

Each task below must be completed in order to meet the requirements of the Unit.  

For PASS (score 7, 8 or 9) you must complete all of Task 1 and Task 2.

For MERIT (score 10, 11 or 12) you also need to complete Task 3a.  You will have to work independently to choose the content of your presentation without detailed guidance.

For DISTINCTION (score 13, 14, 15 or 16)  you will need to complete ALL the tasks shown below to a very high standard - producing a professional looking interactive multimedia presentation using techniques consistently.  You will need to work independently with a minimum of support from your teacher.

• Task 1a: Review of the Pepsi-Cola website
• Task 1b: Review of two further multimedia websites
• Task 1c: Review of a website of your own choice

• Task 2a: Design Brief for Multimedia presentation - including

  Storyboard plan for your own interactive multimedia presentation

  Flow chart/tree diagram for your own interactive multimedia presentation

  Producing your own interactive multimedia presentation

  Keeping detailed notes of all information sources - text, images, sounds and video/animations (with notes on what made these suitable for your presentation).

• Task 3a: Show your presentation to your intended audience and receive feedback - keeping full notes on all suggestions and recommendations made - then make improvements to your multimedia presentation based on the feedback you received.
• Task 3b: Review your own interactive multimedia presentation in the light of the original design brief
